Facial Aesthetics Elsternwick

Facial Aesthetics and Therapeutics

Facial aesthetics refers to the creation of a pleasing facial appearance. To create a pleasing facial appearance it is often beneficial to compliment dental treatment with non-surgical techniques that can improve the facial appearance, which frames your smile. Dr Geeta Perks, cosmetic dentist in Elsternwick, offers her dental patients a range of non-surgical treatments that can do this. She uses botulinum toxin, which is a muscle relaxant to help soften wrinkles and balance asymmetric lop-sided smiles. The muscle relaxant can also be used to help reduce gummy smiles without the need for surgery. To enhance the shape of the lips or balance the asymmetry of the lower half of the face, dermal fillers may be used.

Some jaw pains and tension headaches are caused by subconscious muscular hyperactivity. These cases can also be treated using botulinum toxin as a muscle relaxant as part of management of the problem.

These treatments are relatively quick and painless. All the treatments are carried out in a clinical environment by fully trained staff.
